Our Programs

New Horizon Montessori School offers several programs in order to cater to the diverse needs of both parents and children. Each of our academic programs are specially tailored to set age groups, developed to accommodate their cognitive and physical progression. Likewise, non-academic programs including Out of School Care and Summer Camps are adjusted depending on age of children enrolled, season of the year, etc.

Infant Toddler Program: 0 to 3 Years Old

New Horizon Montessori School’s Infant Toddler Program is for children ages 0 weeks to 3 years old. In our infant classrooms, we focus on creating a loving and secure environment in which we can develop meaningful relationships with each and every child.

Until children progress to the Full Day Program (age 3 to 5), our instructors administer exercises designed especially for infants and toddlers to slowly grow each child’s independence and prepare them for our full curriculum. New Horizon educators carefully monitor each child’s cognitive and physical development in order to administer suitable activities such as walking practice and language development.

* Infant Toddler Program is currently a Langley Campus specific program.

Full Day Program: 3 to 5 Years Old

Our Full Day Program introduces children to a new classroom aimed at transitioning students from infant-based education to traditional academics. Using specific Montessori exercises, New Horizon Montessori School’s instructors guide children through our full curriculum, providing a wholesome educational experience and an opportunity for children to independently follow their natural curiosities.

By age 5, children who have completed our curriculum will not only have a strong academic foundation, but will be well versed in supplemental areas such as Physical Education, Cultural Studies, Botany and Zoology, preparing them for future school years.

Out of School Care: 5 to 12 Years Old

New Horizon Montessori School is proud to provide children and parents with the Out of School Care Program. Our instructors provide a relaxing atmosphere where children can complete homework, play with friends or simply unwind, and parents can have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are safe and sound. The Out of School Care Program runs from school dismissal till 6:00 PM, accommodating early dismissals as well.

The Out of School Care Program is only offered at our Coquitlam Campus where teachers pick up children from Bramblewood Elementary School, Aspenwood Elementary School and Walton Elementary School and transport with our school busses.

Instructors carefully monitor each child’s physical and cognitive development as in our other programs, and provide the appropriate care each individual requires.

The activities and exercises children participate in are dependent on their age, younger students (toddlers) focus on basic life skills such as walking practice and language development, where as older students complete our full academic curriculum.
